 "Cultural Connections" International Student Forum

During the morning of Saturday, October 29, approximately 160 international students from 19 countries who are studying in Ottawa for the first time will be participating in a series of activities focused on making a successful transition to their Homestay and school life while in Canada.

Time: 10:00am / Where: Auditorium at 440 Albert Street

Topics include the best ways to adjust to Homestay life and how to deal with differences in food, maintain health and well-being, adapt to a new school culture, and discover things to do in Ottawa.

The students will learn about communicating amongst different cultures and will have opportunities to share ideas through discussions with each other.
Many local teachers have volunteered to facilitate the workshops.
Homestay host families will be meeting at the same time to review their important roles in helping our international students get the very most out of their experience in Canada.
