Programs

The Ottawa International Student Program recommends international students to come to the Young People's Language School (YPLS) to improve their English before going to high school or university in Canada. They learn at their own pace in a friendly and welcoming environment with students their own age.

The Young People's Language School (YPLS) is a part of the Ottawa-Carleton Education Network (OCENET), a non-profit organization connected to the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. It has close links to the board’s high schools. YPLS students go on to the high schools, confident that they will have the language skills necessary to succeed.

 Students can study for 1 month or longer and they can begin classes on any Monday throughout the year.
